Three phase transformers and three phase autotransformers are realised according to the European legislation EN 61558-1 and CEI 96-3, to the American legislation UL 506 and UL 1585 and to the Canadian legislation CSA 22.2 n66 in order to be used in the electromechanical industry and electromedical field as well.


They are divided into separating transformers (EN 61558-1 CEI 96-3), control transformers (EN 61558-2-2 CEI 96-9), isolating transformers (EN 61558-2-4 CEI 96-8) and safety transformers (EN 61558-2-6 CEI 96-7) and they are realised on three columns.


The three phase transformer is characterised by three primary windings at the frequency of 50/60 Hz and by three secondary windings. Very important are the connections between the windings - which can be star, triangle or zig-zag - because they determine the displacement between primary and secondary. In the star connection the neutral is accessible to the terminal.


The three phase autotransformer consists of a single winding equipped with intermediate sockets and can be up or down. The advantage of this product is the reduction of weight and volume while keeping the power unchanged.


The three to single phase transformer has a three-phase input and a single-phase output. It is mainly used when a large single-phase load needs to be powered but a three-phase system is used; this allows to distribute the power optimally on all the phases.


The supply voltage must not exceed 1000VAC and 500Hz.


All transformers are immersed in an insulating liquid and/or tropicalized for a better yield and a better reliability in wet places.
